Notice to Customers
Effective August 1, 2008 Pride Grain will be changing its storage rates for corn, soybeans and wheat from 100 thousandths of a cent per bushel per day to 150 thousandths of a cent per bushel per day. Handling rates will remain unchanged at 20 cents per bushel for all grains that are removed from the elevator. All grain sold to the elevator will not be charged a handling fee. In addition, any grain sold to the elevator within 30 days of delivery will not incur any storage fees. Sharply higher grain prices have added substantial costs for shrinkage and insurance. General inflation has also meant increased costs associated with electricity, natural gas and building and equipment. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. OMAHA (DTN) -- Snow showers continued in the eastern Great Lakes Tuesday afternoon, with dry weather elsewhere in the main U.S. crop areas. Most Midwest temperatures were cool to cold. In contrast, the western Plains had a surge of warm air taking readings to higher values that anywhere in the country except for the Desert Southwest.
